Tyra, Bryce and family arrived here on the 19th to spend the holidays with us all. The weekend was full of family and fun. We enjoyed our Duncan Family Christmas with our traditional Santa Lucia (with Anabelle serving the honors this year for the first time). Santa Lucia is the Swedish Saint who brings Light by her service to others. My Swedish Grandfather lived with us when I was a little girl so at 5 years of age my parents started that tradtion in our family , Dad built me a beautiful crown that holds lighted candles and I would wear that along with a white dress and serve my family cookies. We have continued the tradition now in our family for about 50 years! The little ones also performed the Nativity which is always so precious and brings back wonderful memories from childhood with our robes, towels and tablecloths for costumes.
